Bayswater Marina have launched an appeal to keep the Breakwater permanently closed to the public and will be heard at the Environment Court on March 10/11.

As a local resident connected to the community, the Bayswater Breakwater at Bayswater Marina has long been a place of recreation, and connectivity for us. 

Unfortunately, public access to this great place has been revoked. Originally, access was a condition in the Bayswater Marina resource consent, and thus, the current state is not only disappointing but goes against the original agreement.

In the spirit of community, fairness, and the original agreement, we appeal for the reinstatement of public access to the Bayswater Breakwater. This move would enable residents to once again enjoy the breakwater.
