Update: MCM ticket prices and our next steps: CONTACT MCM!

Hello everyone,
First of all, thank you so much to everyone who has signed and shared this petition so far. Your support genuinely means a lot, and it’s important that we continue making our voices heard.
Today at 3pm, MCM Comic Con released its official ticket prices for May 2027, and unfortunately, the changes are just as concerning as many of us feared.
Not only have MCM removed priority entry from both individual day tickets and weekend tickets, but the new pricing structure means that general admission attendees will now be paying considerably more for what was previously a cheaper ticket option.
Here is a comparison of the October 2026 and May 2027 ticket prices.
London MCM October 2026 ticket prices:
- VIP Legend: £300
- VIP 3 day ticket: £230
- 3 day Weekend: £98
- Friday priority: £39
- Friday general: £29
- Saturday priority: £48
- Saturday general: £38
- Sunday priority: £39
- Sunday general: £29
London MCM May 2027 ticket prices
- VIP Legend: £300
- VIP 3 Day: £230
- 3 day weekend: £99
- Friday: £36
- Saturday: £45
- Sunday: £36
What does this mean for attendees?
The price differences are particularly concerning when you compare the new prices against the previous general admission tickets.
- VIP Legend: No price change (£300).
- VIP 3-Day: No price change (£230).
- 3-Day Weekend: Increased by £1 (£98 to £99).
- Friday: General admission has increased by £7 (£29 to £36), a 24.1% increase.
- Saturday: General admission has increased by £7 (£38 to £45), an 18.4% increase.
- Sunday: General admission has increased by £7 (£29 to £36), a 24.1% increase.
Although the new individual day prices are £3 cheaper than the previous priority tickets, attendees are no longer being offered a priority entry option at all.
In other words, attendees who previously paid for general admission are now paying more, while those who previously paid extra for priority entry have lost that option entirely.
Paying more for less, how is this fair?
I genuinely cannot understand how removing an entry benefit, increasing general admission prices and offering attendees fewer choices represents a fair exchange. This is about more than just ticket prices. It is about the overall experience, accessibility and value for money.
Attendees are being asked to pay more while potentially facing longer queues, increased congestion, more difficult entry arrangements and less time to enjoy the convention. This also raises a MAJOR accessibility concern for disabled attendees, many of whom rely on priority entry to make attending the convention manageable or even possible. Removing this option risks excluding people who depend on these arrangements and makes the event less accessible to those who need additional support.
I am extremely disappointed by these decisions. It feels increasingly as though the needs and experiences of the community are being overlooked in favour of maximising revenue.
What can we do next?
Signing and sharing this petition is a great start, but we shouldn’t stop there. Our next step should be to send a formal email directly to MCM Comic Con and ReedPop, making it clear that the community is unhappy with these changes and wants them reconsidered.
We need to show that these concerns aren’t coming from just a handful of people. They affect thousands of attendees, including weekend ticket holders, cosplayers, disabled attendees and people who rely on priority entry to make attending possible.
I encourage everyone who has signed this petition to also send an email using the template below.
The more people who individually raise their concerns, the harder it will be for the organisers to ignore the impact these decisions could have.
Feel free to copy the template, personalise it with your own experiences and send it to Reedpop’s event manager and MCM. Please remain polite but firm. We want our concerns taken seriously and, most importantly, we want action.
Thank you again to everyone supporting this campaign.
