Community policing is NEEDED

Crime is up.  Call volume is up.  Staffing is down.  Experience is down.  

But the focus is …. TICKETS. 

If you ever needed a wake up call this is it.  

There was just a shooting early this morning among DOZENS of shots fired calls in the neighborhoods over the last month or so.  Armed individuals walking around openly threatening and brandishing.  Gang activity is increasing. 

What was more important?  Sitting in a 35mph zone writing tickets to generate revenue.  

Between 2021 and 2022 I myself solved 3 out of the 6 murders and prevented many many more with strong community involvement.  

Prevention is KEY.  Generating revenue will NOT prevent crime and will not save a life.
