Experience counts

When it comes to community policing you need officers who can wear many hats .  We need to be able to get the cats out of the trees, carry the groceries, hold the doors, help people in need, and also take care of crime and negative impact elements to the community.

We have seen a huge uptick in mass shootings, active shootings, and gang violence in this country and even locally. A one trick pony will not do the job effectively.  

We must strive to keep ourselves trained and also hold onto officers who are experienced and can help other officers to learn and gain that experience in a safe way over time.  

All the ticket writing in the world isn’t going to prevent another Uvalde or VA tech.
