PetParkers are a critical service for dog owners. They provide safe, secure, and comfortable shelter for our beloved pets while we shop. PetParkers have been used safely almost 15,000 times in Canada.

Recently, Pattison Food Group has removed PetParkers from their stores. This decision puts dog owners in a difficult position, many of us have dogs who cannot be left at home alone, nor can they be safely tied up outside stores where they risk theft, stress, or injury.

PetParkers are more than a convenience, they are a necessary community resource. They allow dog owners to shop responsibly without compromising their pets’ well-being. For seniors, people with medical conditions, or those without nearby family or pet-sitters, this service is especially vital.

We call on Pattison Food Group and other retailers to:

• Reinstate PetParkers immediately at stores where they were removed.
• Recognize the essential role PetParkers play in supporting responsible dog ownership.
• Work with the community to expand safe options for pet care at shopping centres.

Our dogs are part of our families. We need safe solutions — not fewer options.
