The Issue

On April 30, 2025, I was deactivated by Uber due to a false accusation concerning unsafe or illegal driving. The claim was completely unfounded, yet Uber proceeded to block me from its platform. During the so-called investigation, Uber never provided any specifics regarding the alleged incident—no time, date, location, or identity of the complaining passenger. Despite being asked to present my side of the story, I was given nothing to respond to, which led to my unfair deactivation.

The reality, as many drivers like myself fear, is that passengers sometimes make false reports to gain freebies—coupons or free rides. Unfortunately, this misuse of the system results in honest, hardworking drivers like me facing unjust consequences. As a father of two sons, this deactivation has severely impacted my ability to provide for my family. Driving for Uber was my primary source of income, and losing this livelihood due to unverified claims is devastating.

It's crucial for Uber to revisit and revise how such accusations are handled to prevent wrongful deactivations. Drivers should be informed about the specific complaints made against them and be given a fair chance to contest unfounded allegations. I urge Uber to reinstate my account pending a transparent review of the matter. More importantly, I ask for the establishment of a clear, fair, and transparent system for future issues, ensuring that drivers are provided with all details of accusations and have the opportunity to defend themselves.

Please support this petition to demand fair treatment for all drivers and help me regain the ability to support my family. Sign this petition to ask Uber to reinstate my account and improve its processes for handling passenger complaints.
