Over the past 12 years, Mr. Michael Hinkle has served as Athletic Director at Chino High School, earning the respect of staff, students, parents, and fellow Athletic Directors in surrounding cities. As a vital component of the school's athletic program, he has not only fulfilled his role as Athletic Director but also as a teacher, tennis coach, and dedicated supporter of various sports teams, often volunteering to keep scores and capture photos of athletes throughout the year.

Recently, the Chino School District eliminated Mr. Hinkle's position as Athletic Director in response to a tragic event that occurred last summer. This decision follows the dismissal of Head Football Coach Joey LaRosa. In light of the police records indicating the incident was accidental, it appears the school district is attempting to assign blame to avoid potential litigation. It is unjust to place responsibility on any individual, particularly Mr. Hinkle, who was not present at the event.
