"This position I’m in is a gift. Your support is humbling and I, and those with me thank you and owe you way beyond my stumbling ability with words can express." - WALTER TERZANO
Thank you for surpassing 200 signed so quickly, with nearly 5,000 views, as well as for sharing this petition nearly 200 times. That means on average everyone who signs is telling a friend! Thank you for for supporting this just cause for which a remedy is long overdue and telling others about it!
So far, there has been a complete lack of action or effort on behalf of Harvard University and Securitas to make this right, even after a month of radio silence.
Walter is still suspended without pay 'pending further investigation' as security officers continue to work without a contract at Harvard University. Walter is being held hostage here, as a political prisoner being used as a bargaining chip in the ongoing negotiations for a new contract.
These talks are at real risk of being put on hold indefinitely as a result of Harvard and Securitas' inaction on this matter, and a clear inability for either side to bargain in good faith until they release the union shop steward they've held in the gulag and out of work for no good reason for over a month now.
Commencement looms, and security officers at Harvard University stand ready to make history for a second time after voting down the first awful offer which was curiously taken to a forced vote by their own union, 32BJ, despite a unanimous rejection of the offer and recommendation of a NO vote to the membership by their entire bargaining committee.
We will be escalating our efforts as a group in the coming days, as students return to campus, and admissions tours embark, to make sure folks continue to ask:
"WHERE IS WALTER?" ✊️✊️
