I, along with many other Android users in Singapore, am facing a significant issue. We are unable to use Google Play gift cards without a credit card. This limitation is not only inconvenient but also restricts our access to the vast array of apps, games, and digital content available on the platform.

Google Play gift cards were previously available in Singapore but have since been discontinued for reasons unknown to us. This has left many of us at a disadvantage, especially those who do not own credit cards or prefer not to use them for online transactions due to security concerns.

In 2020 alone, there were approximately 4.2 million Android users in Singapore (Statista). That's nearly three-quarters of our population who potentially face this issue. By reinstating Google Play gift cards in our country, we can ensure that these millions of users have unrestricted access to the services they love and depend on.

We urge Google Inc., as one of the world's leading tech companies committed to making information universally accessible and useful, to reconsider their decision and bring back Google Play Gift Cards availability in Singapore.
