On 25th September, Parents at St. Paul's were sent an email from The Right Reverand Cam Venables stating that moving forward for Term 2, the following people would be appointed into positions at St. Pauls.  

Suzanne Bain - Executive Principal

John O'Sullivan - Acting Principal

Simon Gipson - "support"

Firstly, where did Bishop Jeremy Greaves go?  He's been sending all the communication until now, and suddenly Cam Venables is sending?  Bishop Greaves said in a recorded meeting with school parents how hard these weeks have been for him and how he is afraid to get his morning coffee.  It is a pity he didn't have the same feeling on how hard it has been for the St. Paul's community and, in particular, the current Year 12 cohort who have expressed they have felt a level of harm inflicted on them as a result of the disruption the ASC has placed within the school grounds as a result of their overreach and controlling ways.

A quick LinkedIn search shows Suzanne Bain is a board member of the ASC and is affiliated with the Non-State Schools Accreditation Board, which is rather interesting considering that was one of the regulators the ASC mentioned as providing advice on the commercialisation of ROT for the payment of compensation to abuse victims would compromise their NFP status.  Yet, the Courier Mail has already outlined via a timeline that Dr Browning was told he was not being renewed before they said to stop commercializing ROT. So your excuse for saying you removed him is because of the commercialisation of ROT, yet you told him you weren't renewing him before this.  That sounds odd, don't you think?

Shall we also then discuss the incredible overreach and control for the ASC to create positions from nowhere, i.e. Executive Principal, and then place one of their very own Board Members into that position?  Then, place another member of the ASC into the Acting Principal role. Who is expected to pay for this position?  ASC, will you pay for them from your own accounts, or will you expect the St. Paul's parents to pay for your friends?  I think we know how this goes, don't we?

Also, why did the ASC change their approach?  Originally, emails sent via Bishop Jeremy Greaves told the St. Paul's school body that Simon Gipson would fill in as Acting Headmaster in Term 4.  Now, Simon's been relegated to support only?  Whilst ASC board members fill the roles?  Tell me why the school needs that level of overreach or scrutiny by ASC board members.  Let's take a moment to just understand how intimidating that would feel for the remaining staff at St. Paul's.

A statement by Cam Venables said they have engaged these 3 leaders to identify the areas that need immediate support and attention.  First, the area that needs immediate attention and support is the reinstatement of Dr. Browning.  

It's funny how the ASC needs to identify areas needing immediate support in a school that in 2023 won 2 Excellence Awards in the Australian Education Awards - Team Tuition Secondary School of the Year Non-Government and Innovation in Learning Environment Design. I wonder what those areas needing immediate support are.

Prior updates showed that ex-Churchie board members highlighted the same issues regarding the overreach and control the ASC board is exerting, so it comes to our attention that more people would have information regarding the issues St. Paul's is facing.  Therefore, we have been notified that a secure, anonymous tip line has been sent up for anyone wanting to provide information on this matter.
