In a recent article, the Courier Mail advised "sources" have told of a school community divided over the axing of Dr Browning.  Implying the parents and students who have been protesting are a very loud minority, representing less than 7% of the school's population.

Let's do a little math here because the other side isn't so good at it with their smear campaign.   Today, this petition has over 5300 signatures to reinstate Dr Browning, but more so in support of the underhand bullying tactics the ASC has employed within Anglican schools under its charter.  Let's not forget the article showing Churchie in support, having exhibited their own version of the overreach the ASC is conducting within the schools.

In addition, a private Facebook group created by the parent body of St. Paul's governed to expose the tactics of the ASC and reinstate Dr. Browning has over 850 people and currently growing.  Not so much a minority now, is it?

Then we have the "throw away" line of "when parents threaten to take their kids out of the school if Paul Browning isn't returned, they feel hung out to dry and dishonoured."

A statement posted online via the working parent body states:

"We, the parents campaigning against the educational harm and injustice inflicted by the Anglican Schools Commission on our children, the St Paul's School community, the School Council, and Dr Paul Browning, strongly condemn the ASC's transparent attempt to drive a wedge between parents and teachers in the press this week.  We stand with teachers and staff who were as blindsided by this premeditated and appallingly communicated disruption as we were.  We know that they, as do we, hold the welfare and education of our kids as their highest priority.  Sadly, it is increasingly clear that the ASC does not.  We realise that teachers are likely suffering from uncertainty, fear, absence of vision and leadership, and autocratic abuse of power just as we are.  To our teachers and staff: we hold you dearly in our hearts and trust you now, as we always have, with our children's best interests."

Whilst the fight may say, "Re-instate Dr. Browning", we are fighting for each of those teachers and staff to work in an environment free of bullying that is transparent, inclusive, and free of corruption.  We, the parent body, will not allow our school to return to the dark days of its past, where shady deals, cover-ups, a complete lack of accountability and oversight, and integrity prevailed.  That is why we fight for Dr. Browning and our school!

We fight for the integrity he carved into those school grounds.
