A concerning change has taken place at Jacksonville High School in North Carolina, as a highly experienced and respected coach, Coach Holbrook, has been replaced by a newcomer with little to no wrestling coaching experience. Our wrestling team, over the years under Coach Holbrook, has thrived due to his extensive knowledge stemming from 52 years of experience in wrestling. He is a local legend and has been instrumental in developing the skills of young athletes, building not only exceptional wrestlers but also shaping character and instilling values in many of our students.  Not to mention , Coach Holbrook went from having a 6 kid lineup to becoming a top 4 3A team in the state. We would not question a change if it brings progress, but in this case, the new assignee lacks the qualifications that a job like this entails. Jacksonville High School has a responsibility towards the current and aspiring young wrestlers to provide them with the best coaching resources. With no offence intended towards the new coach, it is our belief that Coach Holbrook's vast wrestling experience and proven commitment to the role cannot be underestimated. We urge the school administration to reconsider their decision. We want our Coach Holbrook back to guide our wrestling team towards more victories. This petition serves as our collective voice, calling for reinstatement of Coach Holbrook as the girls wrestling coach at Jacksonville High School.
