Mise à jour sur la pétitionRegulation Without Safety Is Not Public Protection - Massage Therapy in OntarioLaunching the Canadian RMT Peer Support & Safety Network

Over the past few months, our collective advocacy has sparked long-overdue conversations about patient sexual misconduct, practitioner safety, and the need for trauma-informed standards.

While the CMTO has begun to implement policy changes, many RMTs still face isolation and a lack of structured peer-based support when incidents occur (outside the general RMT facebook groups).

To address this, I’ve launched a new initiative:
✨ The Canadian RMT Peer Support & Safety Network ✨

This is a confidential, peer-led community for Canadian and Ontario RMTs and other Regulated Health Practitioners to connect, share, and support one another through:

Patient sexual misconduct and boundary violations
Reporting and discharge processes
Emotional resilience and trauma recovery
Collaborative advocacy for safer clinical practice

Our profession is stronger when we support each other. This group aims to build solidarity, provide real-time resources, and amplify the message that RMT safety is public safety.

If you’re a Registered Massage Therapist in Ontario who wants to join or learn more, please use this link to join: https://fb.me/g/6WmLXuiTp/uxd8UhWv

The link is limited to 20 clicks because it is a private, hidden group (for now), so if you are unable to join, please email me at ashelyculprmt@gmail.com and I can add you directly.

Safety is not a privilege — it’s a professional right.
This group exists to make that right real.
