Petition directed at the California legislature.

This petition at this time, is now directed at the California legislature, rather than one legislator. The goal is for this proposed legislation to be considered as a biennium bill - in the upcoming 2019 session or in the 2020 session.

California Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi (D-Torrance), who has been sought as a sponsor of this legislation, has declined, but will consider being a co-sponsor.

California Senator Ben Allen (D-Redondo Beach) has been asked to consider this legislation. His policy director is interested in the issue but at this time must determine what legislation will be sponsored.

California Senator Kevin McCarty (D-Sacramento) will be invited to consider this legislation this week.
