
We need legislative action to:
✅ Mandate AI Transparency & Explainability – Companies must disclose when and how AI is used in hiring decisions.
✅ Ban the Use of Biometric Data Without Explicit Consent – No employer should scan applicants’ faces, voices, or behavioral traits without clear, informed approval.
✅ Require Independent AI Bias Audits – AI hiring platforms must undergo third-party audits to detect discrimination.
✅ Ensure Job Seekers’ Right to Challenge AI Decisions – Candidates should have the ability to appeal unfair AI rejections and correct false data.
It is extremely unsettling to know that applying for a job in 2025 is like having a cyber stalker.
Consent is a demand for any algorithmic or biometric tools being used.
Consent was never given for LinkedIn, a social media site, to distribute and integrate our profiles into talent acquisition systems.
Consent was never given for running background checks upon receipt of an application, retrieving data from unknown sources, inferring skills (making them up), and circulating such data to other unknown sources.
Consent was never given for AI analytical outputs to determine likelihood of success while in the process, taking successful people and leaving them destitute.
We are humans and we should not allow big corporations to perform colonoscopies on our lives because we are seeking a job.
This is not ok. AI is in it's infancy and the destruction caused already is astronomical. You won't see this story on the news even as millions have been programmed out of the workforce, society, our livelihoods, families, homes, health, mental health, food, and the ability to retire.
