We are deeply saddened and outraged by the recent murder of Ms Curtilia Princess Charles, a 24-year-old young woman in our community. This senseless killing is a stark reminder of the pervasive violence that continues to plague our society, especially violence against women. We cannot, and we will not, remain silent.
This form of violence must stop. It is an attack on the very fabric of our humanity and the safety of our communities. The time for action is now. We are calling on every individual, organization, and leader across the Caribbean to join us in taking a stand against this cycle of abuse and violence.
Let us work together to strengthen education on domestic violence, support survivors, and demand stricter laws and enforcement. Change begins with all of us—our voices, our actions, and our resolve to create a safer, kinder region for everyone.
We urge you to join this movement. Let this tragic loss fuel our determination to make meaningful change. Together, we can break the silence, end the violence, and honor the lives of those lost by ensuring this cycle stops here.
Caribbean Alliance Against Domestic Violence is committed to leading this charge, but we need your support. Let’s turn pain into purpose and make a real difference.
