El 1 de junio del 2022 murió Modesto, en el Parque Central Poniente de ciudad Juárez, 21 años fue lo que vivió en un espacio reducido sin un solo árbol o vegetación, en condiciones deplorables, con una “rígida” dieta dictada de forma irresponsable por los visitantes del parque. Murió Modesto y al gobierno estatal le pareció buena idea traer una nueva jirafa para ocupar el lugar que quedó vacante, una jirafa que movieron de un lugar familiarizado y acondicionado para la jirafa y en donde se encontraba en compañía de más animales para condenarla a una vida solitaria y a un lugar donde no tiene la capacidad de atender a los animales ya que existe el antecedente de varios animales que murieron por negligencias, entre ellos un león que murió ahorcado. Por eso es importante que las autoridades pertinentes atiendan la situación del animal, que el gobierno del estado se encargue que sea devuelta a su lugar de origen y viva una vida menos lamentable.

¡LA OTRA CARA DE LA MONEDA!
La llegada de la jirafa al zoológico de Ciudad Juárez ha sido un momento de gran emoción para muchos, pero detrás de esa alegría, hay una historia que nos hace reflexionar sobre la responsabilidad que tenemos hacia los animales.
Todo comenzó con un largo e incómodo viaje de 22 horas en un pequeño remolque, que sí, pareciera improvisado. Desde Culiacán hasta Ciudad Juárez, todo ese tiempo, separada de otros ejemplares, tal y como se espera que siga por muchos años más. A su llegada, fue ubicada en un lugar árido, sin árboles ni sombra.
Estas condiciones preocupan a la sociedad protectora de animales, ya que consideran que la jirafa merece un trato justo y digno, pues han señalado que la jirafa fue extraída y separada de su madre desde el Zoológico en Culiacán, un lugar que cuenta con un hábitat adecuado y condicionado, para tratar de darles por lo menos lo necesario.
La llegada de la jirafa debe ser un momento de reflexión, pues todos queremos momentos felices y alegres con nuestros seres queridos, incluso la misma jirafa. Sin sombra, sin árboles y con temperaturas de hasta +40 grados, comiendo porquería que le da la gente irresponsable, con una estructura de cemento abierta para cubrirse del frio de hasta -14 grados, donde a la anterior jirafa (modesto) sufrió la mutilación de sus orejas sin recibir ayuda por el frio se le necrosaron y por ende las perdió exigimos REGRÉSENLA A SU ZOOLÓGICO o REUBIQUENLA A UN SANTUARIO

The arrival of the giraffe should be a moment of reflection, because we all want happy and joyful moments with our loved ones, even the giraffe itself.
