Lambeth Council's solution to large-scale homelessness is not to improve conditions for social and private renters, or to provide more social housing.  It's solution as it forges on with its master planning of the Central Hill, which refuses to consider refurbishing, is to knock down the estate and build 1,200 mainly high-end, commercial properties. 

Tonight, there's a discussion on large-scale retrofitting across the UK by Insulate Britain at 7pm. This is the way forward and does not involve demolishing.   They will also upload to their Youtube channel if you aren't able to catch it tonight.
