Lambeth Council is stitching up the residents of Central Hill. Again!

A section 106 payment is made to compensate for a lack of provision in a build - be it meeting environmental criteria, or the quota of social housing.

And here we have Homes for Lambeth planning to put a - section 106, for the benefit of the community - play area where no-one has asked for one, close to a busy road. Obviously, this location suits them, not the community.

  • There has been obviously no announcement, no consultation, nothing.
  • This area is beautiful as it is used by dog walkers, people doing exercises and occasionally social gatherings.
  • By a busy road on the edge of the estate is not the best place for a play area.
  • Three options were opened and then two were removed, one, closer to houses, is because it was locked!

Pls could you write an objection in support of the community to planning@lambeth.gov.uk, quote: 21/02560/DET | Approval of details pursuant to condition 47 (proposed children's play). (You may need to try several times).

Pls use the points made above.   Ask that Lambeth Council engage with the residents on the estate to engage with them fully.
