The Issue

I spent $106 on Battlefield 6, eagerly anticipating hours of exhilarating gameplay. Yet, this investment has turned into a frustrating ordeal. The game is rendered unplayable due to incessant crashes caused by their DirectX integration and faulty anti-cheat software, even for players, like myself, who have never attempted any form of cheating.

The game's crash issue has been widespread, but despite numerous reports from the gaming community since its release in October, no substantial fixes have been implemented. That's months of unfulfilled promises and unmet obligations from the developers who continue to ignore our complaints. Failing to address these crashes not only tarnishes their reputation but shows a blatant disregard for their customers.

Adding to this, the policy on refund from platforms like Steam exacerbates the situation. Steam's current refund policy prevents players from receiving refunds if they have played more than two hours, regardless of whether those hours were spent battling crashes instead of opponents. This is fundamentally unfair and leaves dedicated customers in a financial bind for something entirely beyond their control.

What we need is immediate action. The developers of Battlefield 6 need to take full responsibility for this issue. They must update the anti-cheat software and resolve the DirectX crashes to ensure a smooth gaming experience for all. If unable to promptly fix these persistent issues, EA, And STEAM ought to consider issuing refunds to affected users who have been left with no other recourse.

We urge STEAM, EA and DICE, the developers of Battlefield 6, to take swift remedial action and reconsider their stance on refunds. Our financial investments should not be casualties of subpar software development and customer service. Demand a fix or a refund so that the community can trust their creations again.
