New York City is known for its vibrant culture and bustling streets. From the towering skyscrapers of Manhattan to the eclectic art scene of Brooklyn, the city has something for everyone. Despite its many attractions, however, the city is not without its drawbacks. With traffic congestion growing every day in New York City, it is becoming increasingly difficult to avoid getting parking or traffic tickets. These tickets can add up quickly, creating an unnecessary financial burden on individuals and families.

  Furthermore, New Yorkers are under constant pressure from the city government to pay taxes, fees, and fines. The cost of living in NYC is already high, and these additional expenses add to the financial difficulties of many citizens. Sacrifices must be made within the household to ensure that the household is able to pay its bills and provide food for its members. The issuing of tickets and summons can have a particularly detrimental impact on residents who are low to middle income, who may be unable to afford the high fine. 

   This creates a regressive form of taxation, as those with low -mid incomes may be disproportionately affected by excessive fines and fees. This is especially concerning given that much of this income is used to fund international, state and local projects that those same low-mid income citizens may not directly benefit from. Furthermore, a ticket should be based on actual damages incurred as the primary ground for liability, not a hypothetical situation.

 The number of tickets issued to a single vehicle should be regulated, as it can have serious repercussions on the driver. Receiving multiple tickets can result in points being added to the license, or the suspension of the license, booting, and towing of the vehicle. To ensure that drivers are not unfairly targeted by law enforcement, there should be a limit to the number of tickets that can be issued to a single vehicle each day, week, or month.

Human factors that should be considered, but not limited to similar situations, include time constraints, financial limitations, physical limitations, and other environmental factors. For example, a citizen may be receiving treatment from a medical doctor and having put money in the meter for the time that is allotted, but the parking meter may have run out due to the length of the physician's appointment, resulting in a parking ticket. The patient must now recalculate their financial budget to accommodate the city fees

Questions we the people would like to know;

 Parking tickets issued for a variety of reasons, including, but not limited to, common offenses such as "neglecting to pay parking meters," or "parking summons," have what purpose for the social economic system as a whole? Is there a contract that implies that vehicles registered to the state are subjected to receive parking and traffic tickets?

The parking laws in New York City have become increasingly difficult to avoid ,leading to an increase in the number of traffic tickets and summons issued to residents.Traffic tickets and summons are a major financial burden to many individuals. Not only do they add to a person's expenses, they can also lead to the loss of driving privileges and one’s right to travel, as well as the seizure of personal property.
 
   We believe that the existing traffic and parking laws should be revised to make them more lenient and less punitive. This would include reducing the severity of fines for violations, eliminating tickets and summons for minor offenses, and allowing for more flexibility in how people can park in their neighborhoods and travel on the roads.  

 Additionally, more lenient laws would help to ensure that drivers are not unfairly penalized for minor mistakes.

   The current parking ticket system should be carefully considered by those in positions of authority. The enforcement of regulations must be balanced with the financial well-being of individuals. As a result, a society will be able to uphold justice and ensure fair treatment for its citizens.
