Reform the UK's CSA and CMS Systems for Fair Treatment of Separated Fathers

Reform the UK's CSA and CMS Systems for Fair Treatment of Separated Fathers
The Issue
I am a father, just like many others in the UK, who experiences the frustrating and often heartbreaking challenges that come with the current Child Support Agency (CSA) and Child Maintenance Service (CMS) systems. These systems, meant to ensure children's welfare, often put unfair burdens on separated fathers struggling to support their children. The CSA alone sees numerous calls from fathers waiting up to three hours a day to get through, an infeasible request for any working person.
The number of affected individuals is staggering, with many fathers facing immense financial strain while working overtime to provide necessary support. This enforced payment regime bases the payment on overtime wage instead of a set wage. This system, in turn, discourages hardworking fathers like us from making an extra effort for their loved ones, such as trying to provide their children with vacations or other special experiences.
The struggle doesn't stop here. Thousands of pounds are spent by fathers battling in court for the right to see their children. It's an unjust system built on punitive principles rather than the well-being of all those involved.
It's time for a change. We call upon the relevant bodies in the UK to overhaul the CSA and CMS systems. The reform should aim at striking a fair balance that takes into account the father's rights, the child's well-being, and the overarching need to create a just and equitable system. Sign this petition to stand up for the rights of fathers, and to demand just reform of the UK's CSA and CMS.
. over time being a result if more controllable payments
. can never contact the csa 3 hours on the phone
. When innocent having to pay thousands for court
. purchasing clothing products for your children not being taken into account
. Some dads having to pay a mortgage plus rent elsewhere
. court room always dismissing on facts and saying this is not a fact finding court
If a RP unlawfully stops access to a child the maintenance should be put on hold
Let’s get this sorted!
