Dear Supporters,
Due to all of the activities that had been going on (FIFA, 250), we held off on going to the press until these all died down a bit. We are planning to reach out but we have a request. If you are comfortable and don't mind leaving a comment about the state of South Street and how it has negativlty impacted you, that would be great. Seeing actual comments from supporters of this petition will go a long way.
Please try to leave a comment soon as we plan to start reaching out to press outlets early next week to garner interest in covering this story to help us move the needle toward actual change.
In the meantime, those of you living near South Street between Front and 9th have likely noticed it's been quieter than usual. That's because the Cinco de mayo disaster-fest caused a lot of backlash and Law Enforcement has been locking the street down almost every night. However, when summer comes to a close, so will the added detail and the South Street Headhouse Business District will try to go back to business as usual as if nothing ever happened.
Let's not let that happen. Please continue to share this petition, leave a comment and fingers crossed we get a news outlet to run with this. That's the best way to get City Council's attention!!!
