Dagenham Park school has updated their rules to enforce in September 2025. These rules are unnecessarily strict and must be revised.

Part of these rules include punishments around phones. The new rule states that newcoming Year 7 students are not allowed smartphones and that if a smartphone is seen on the premises then it is to be confiscated for 5 school days. If the student decides to not hand over the phone then they will be placed in isolation until they surrender the phone. 

These rules need to be revised as they are frankly unnecessary. There are better ways to enforce specific rules and policies.
