Reform the Hajj Booking System to Allow Choice Between Nusuk and Accredited Agents

The Issue

I, along with many other prospective pilgrims, have been denied the opportunity to fulfill the critical fifth pillar of Islam through performing Hajj. The anguish and frustration caused by this holds immense personal significance as our spiritual dreams are consistently shattered by the flawed booking system of the Ministry of Hajj & Umrah of Saudi Arabia via Nusuk.

The current setup is riddled with false hope and exhibits the characteristics of a scam. My family and I have topped up our e-wallets numerous times, only to not be selected, losing hundreds of pounds in the process of trying to reclaim our funds. This is a struggle countless families across the world can relate to.

We urge the Ministry of Hajj & Umrah of Saudi Arabia to reconsider their decision. We advocate for a return of the Appointed Hajj Allocation to the Accredited Agents or at minimum, establish an hybrid system that offers prospective pilgrims a choice between Nusuk and Agent. By doing so, it would minimise unnecessary financial losses and undue emotional strain suffered by thousands of devout Muslims globally seeking to fulfill their religious duties.

The current system is not just unjust but also contradicts the principles of fairness and equality that Islam holds dear. Therefore, we collectively ask for change and justice in this matter. Sign this petition to support the necessary reform of the Hajj booking system.
