Our beautiful golden state has become the laughing stock of the world and an embarrassment to our country. Crime has gone rampant spreading like a plague that brings destruction to our communities. Criminals have no fear remaining unchecked and are taking advantage of our system in the wake of Prop 47. We need change now.

Prop 47's intended purpose was to reduce the population of inmates in our prisons. By making any property theft under $950 went from felonies now to misdemeanors. Alongside anybody caught in the possession of drugs. These changes might have had a positive effect on our prisons but has had detrimental effects on our communities.

We need change now. A reform of Prop 47s to give stricter penalties to repeat offenders preying on our system as well as providing mandatory help to those found under the possession of drugs. Our system will not be taken advantage of. Change must come now.
