Security officers at a recent convention, a profession that should embody safety and protection, have been reported to engage in harassment, overstepping their authority boundaries, and in some cases, committing physical assaults and invading individuals' privacy. These issues are not isolated incidents but rather a concerning pattern, pointing to systemic failures within Allied Universal's management and training programs. Such behavior not only undermines the security industry's integrity but also places attendees in unnecessary harm, tarnishing the reputation of public events.

Many convention-goers and event participants have shared distressing experiences of unjust treatment at the hands of Allied Universal security personnel. Stories emerge of attendees being wrongfully detained, subjected to physical intimidation, and having their personal space violated without just cause. These accounts reflect a significant breach of trust and highlight an urgent need for comprehensive reforms within the organization's operational practices.

I had a bad experience with them at Emerald City Comic Con 2024 in which two security officers of Allied Universal came up and made false accusations of harassing congoers, even going as far as looking through my phone; ironically they were harassing me themselves and directly invaded in my privacy. I've also been hearing from con friends and strangers about security officers assaulting, intimidating, and outright stalking various people in public events.

Allied Universal, as a leading entity in security services, has both the responsibility and opportunity to redefine its standards and protocols. We propose the implementation of a rigorous training program focusing on nonviolent conflict resolution, respect for personal privacy, and adherence to ethical standards. Furthermore, establishing a transparent system for accountability and oversight will ensure that complaints of misconduct are addressed promptly and fairly.

By initiating these necessary reforms, Allied Universal can transform from a source of unease to a paragon of safety and respect at public events. We urge them to take decisive action to prevent future misconduct.
