Local businesses in our community are facing growing pressure from inconsistent, unfair, and often confusing regulations that jeopardise their survival. From unpredictable costs and vague guidelines to intimidation tactics and hostile treatment by Council, the challenges are stacking up. 🙅‍♀️❌

📉 Why does this matter?

Small businesses, particularly those offering nature-based tourism or low-impact experiences, are being unfairly burdened by ambiguous rules and hefty fees.
Many landowners have experienced intimidation from Council enforcement officers, with no formal documentation or recourse to protect themselves.
Businesses are at risk of being shut down due to unclear regulations, putting livelihoods on the line. Some are even forced to suspend operations after being unfairly targeted.

The Problem: Many operators have shared troubling stories of unfair treatment. One landowner, after being assured by Council that their plans were compliant, was later threatened with violations that could close their business down. Others have faced ridiculous fees or been misled by officers, resulting in unnecessary stress and financial loss. Since we have started this petition with multiple local businesses we have had many more get in touch with us. 

But we can’t keep silent any longer! We need your support to stand up to these broken systems.
