As a mother, the permanent protection I've been granted is a relief, but it comes with an agonizing duality as my beloved son Dixtan continues to be held in detention for four and a half long years.

Please, can you help my petition reach 25,000 signatures, by sharing it with like-minded friends and family?

Pongal, a cherished Tamil celebration, became a poignant affair as I witnessed Dixtan commemorating it alone within the confines of detention.

My heart ached at the sight of him, robbed of the joyous togetherness that defines our cultural festivities.

These moments, once filled with familial warmth, are now shadowed by the cold isolation of detention.

Lately, an overwhelming sense of sadness has consumed me, as I grapple with the inability to explain to Dixtan the complexities of our situation and the uncertainty of when we can be reunited.

The weight of not being able to share in his daily life and cultural celebrations intensifies my distress, leaving me yearning for the day when I can hold him close and celebrate Pongal in the true spirit of family and freedom.

Dixtan's twenties, a time that should have been filled with growth, exploration, and self-discovery, have been cruelly robbed from him as he remains unjustly detained for over four and a half years.

This period, often marked by milestones and personal development, has been replaced with the harsh realities of confinement and separation from the world outside.

It's a profound injustice that deprives him of experiences, opportunities, and the chance to shape his own destiny.

In the face of this hardship, I am sincerely grateful for the outpouring of support from those who have signed the petition advocating for Dixtan's release.

I want to emphasize that this effort is not just about my son but about standing against the systemic issues that lead to the unjust detention of many individuals.

If the number of supporters continues to rise, I am committed to taking this petition to politicians, urging them to address the flaws in the system and advocating not just for Dixtan but for all who find themselves unjustly held in detention.

Together, we can make a difference and work towards a more compassionate and just society for everyone affected by these circumstances.
