Thank you so much for caring about making disabled people live a more independent life in Perth.
I contact the council of Joondalup and they said that they can't help due to ownership of services. Another issue I have found is Disabled toilets are locked stopping people who need them . There are a lot of close doors in Perth. There are people who are getting paid to advocate issues in Perth and they can't do anything due to so much red tape.
What if your mum or brother had a disability, they want to go to the beach by themselves or catch public transport by themselves, or use a toilet and the disabled toilet is locked?
If there is no public services in locations and taxi drivers refuse your love one because they can't be bothered to give suitable service. Being independent should be positive and energy should be used on important things.
I am having a meeting with the CEO of Visibility tomorrow to discuss petition and to find support to action changes. I hope my time isn't wasted.
