Hello all
Thankyou to all of you who have recently signed the petition. Only 24 more to make it to 100. Keep spreading the word pls.
So local councillors at the Highways meeting did seem to understand our concerns and said that it’s good that we have the backing of 76 residents already.
I have been urged to keep engaging with police in relation to more speed watch events to tackle speed. The more we can prove that it’s an issue the more likely we are to get some action.
I was also urged to engage with HCC Hampshire county council re the HGV weight limits on Bursledon rd and also to ask them to address the dips in the road by the splash park area which are potentially the reason for the HGVs causing our houses to shudder - I have messaged them as above to ask someone to come out and assess the dips.
On another note if anyone is interested in helping the Hedge end local police with their speed watch dates, they are looking for volunteers

I have also been advised by local police that we can request a speed indication device to be set up on Bursledon Road. This is next on my list to do
I will keep you all updated
