Reduce the price of water wipes

The Issue

As a parent, I've experienced firsthand the outrageous price difference between brands of baby wipes. Just recently, during a shopping trip to my local Tesco, I decided to bulk-buy 30 packs of Fred & Flo baby wipes for the Christmas period. The total came to just £19.50, a price that saves me money while ensuring I’ve got a good supply for my child. However, when I compared this to the price of Water Wipes, I was shocked. The same quantity would have cost me a staggering £97.50. That's an additional £78 for a product that's marketed as superior, but is it truly justified? Thankfully, my little one doesn’t have a reaction to the more affordable Fred & Flo wipes, but for many parents whose children might need Water Wipes due to sensitive skin, these inflated prices are unsustainable!

Water Wipes are marketed as the world's purest baby wipes, and they cater specifically to babies with sensitive skin and other similar needs. However, a price tag that triples the cost of other brands places an unfair burden on families who are already managing tight budgets. This exorbitant cost is discriminatory toward parents who want to provide the best for their children but face financial obstacles in doing so.

Economic studies show that a significant percentage of families in the UK are struggling to make ends meet, with baby care products being a necessary expense. Markups in essential items, such as Water Wipes, can cause undue financial stress. Bulk buying is a common strategy among parents to offset some of these expenditures, yet the current pricing excludes bulk savings on higher-priced brands like Water Wipes.

There is a genuine need for a change. Water Wipes should reconsider their pricing model to make these essential products more accessible to all families who need them. We urge Water Wipes to lower their prices to a more reasonable range, reflecting the market's average while still maintaining their quality standards.

This change will ensure that all parents, regardless of economic status, can afford to access safe and sensitive care products for their children. By signing this petition, you’ll be sending a strong message to Water Wipes: Make your products affordable and accessible to the most vulnerable populations, our children. Every parent should have the opportunity to choose the best for their baby without facing financial hardship.

Please sign this petition to urge Water Wipes to make this critical change in their pricing strategy. Together, we can push for a fairer market for all children and their families.
