Reduce the Cost of Vet Bills and Pet Surgery

The Issue

My puppy broke her leg recently. She is 6 months old. She has a metal plate and pins in her leg. We are now 3 weeks into recovery. Our vet bill came to £7,500 altogether. I think it’s disgusting how much they charge you. Luckily I had insurance and this covered a good whack of it. I’m concerned if the plate fails how we are going to afford another vet bill like that? What about people who have not got that kind of money? Then what happens? Luckily our little girl is on the mend now but something has to be done. Why should our pets suffer! It’s not fair.

Veterinary care costs in Coventry are skyrocketing, making it difficult for pet owners to afford necessary medical treatments for their beloved animals. According to recent data from PDSA, around 1 in 4 pets do not receive necessary veterinary care due to financial constraints.

We need immediate action to regulate and reduce the cost of veterinary bills, surgery charges, and medication prices for pets in Coventry. This will ensure that all pets can receive the medical attention they need without causing financial hardship for their owners.

Please sign this petition to urge local authorities and veterinary associations to address this critical issue!
