Petition Update 21st July 2024

Thank you for your support to date on this petition. I aim to provide a summary of where we are at currently below:

• Road Markings - despite Highways response previously highlighting they will not repaint the white lines they have repainted the roundabout and junction lines however not repainted the centre lines.

• VAS installation - despite Highways agreeing to support a VAS installation the grass verges were found to be owned by Malvern Hills Trust - they have now agreed for this installation but the delay has meant Highways no longer have any VAS to install and the Councilllors do not have the budget. Unfortunately, aside from frustration of this promise and now being told it could be 10 months till we get one there's not a lot more we can do.

• Pedestrian Crossing - Highways previously advised they would review this going forwards, no update.

• Anti-Social Driving/Nuisance Exhausts - despite Councillors involvement and contacting West Mercia Police Safer Neighbourhood Team and Roads Policing neither myself or the Councillors have made any progress in the Police reviewing and taking action on this stretch of road. I'd therefore request residents report any incidents to 101 to build the pressure and to keep a record of times/dates with a brief description.

Given the current circumstances and stalling of progress I have now marked the petition as closed so no one new can sign it however it still enables me to continue to provide updates going forwards.
