Monday 13 Jun a meeting with take place with Lancaster County Council I intend to speak on the behalf of all those who have signed this petition. I will be putting across your thoughts and views on how the new charges have a negative effect on businesses and visitors to Lancaster and Morecambe. LCC last press release stated they had listened and brought back the 2hr charge in some car parks and the 5hr charge in others ( but not in all car parks) they have failed to reduce the hourly charges except for night parking. Clearly they have not listened.
Today we visited business owners in Morecambe to see if the new parking charges had effected business. Not one business owner had anything positive to say about the new charges all it is does is drive visitors and customers away. Please continue to sign and share this petition.
