Last week myself and Lauren the owner of Belle Ame hair salon Lancaster, visited a number of business in Lancaster to see if the new car parking charges had affected them.  Out of the 50 business we visited it was stated that the new charges had effect footfall in the shops and people are no longer spending as much time in town. One of the reason the 2hr charge was removed was to encourage people to shop longer and that business had been consulted on this. On speaking with the business owners not one business had been consulted by LCC regarding the new charges. I will be visiting Morecambe business and the ones I missed in Lancaster after the jubilee weekend. Please keep signing
