Many cosmetic brands, such as Estée Lauder, continue to test their products on animals. Animals are subjected to mistreatment and harm during testing and can even lead to death when exposed to colognes and lipsticks. A drawback for humans on animal testing is that animals can respond differently than humans do when exposed to the same products and chemicals. This can lead to inaccurate results of the dangers of the products, and humans can face unexpected negative reactions to them. Not only are animals unethically subjected to harm, but humans are as well.

If Estée Lauder continues to test their cosmetic products on animals, they will be inhumanely exposed to chemicals and poisons that may cause them harm. The lives of these animals are at stake, so Estée Lauder needs to start reducing their testing on animals to protect them. A 25% decrease of animal testing by 2025 will give the company enough time to start switching to alternative methods of testing, which over time will motivate them to eliminate animal testing altogether. Some of these alternative methods include computer testing and human cell based testing, which removes the need for animals to be involved. 

Now is the time for action. Every day, animals are being exposed to cruel and inhumane testing for cosmetic products. Estée Lauder has the ability to transition to using more ethical means of product testing without the use of animals, and they are capable of doing so by 25% by 2025.
