This morning we reached the 3,400 signature plateau on the petition.  Now we are preparing to make visits to the members of the two House Committees (Veterans' Affairs (ASC) and Armed Services VAC)) whom H.J. Res. 76 has been referred. Initial visits will be paid to the Committee Chairs and Ranking Members who set the agenda for the committee work and decide what Bills will be taken up. We need their support first. Then, we will visit the Democratic members, followed by the Republican members.

Here is where we can user your help.  Write to these committee members, especially if you are one of their constituents.  Adam Smith (WA-09), the Ranking members of the ASC is already a cosponsor.  Send a note of thanks. Mark Rogers (AL-03) and Mark Bost (IL-12) are the Chairmen of the ASC and VAC, respectively.  Mark Takano (CA-39) is the Ranking member of the VAC. We need the support of these leaders to keep this bill moving.  With our interactive petition mapping tool you can find these officials as well as your own Representative.  Send them a message seeking their support and co-sponsorship of the Bill.
