Well, Redbridge Council still have not made any statements about the so-called "investigation" into Catwalk Pets after 2 months. Perhaps they are hoping it all goes quiet again. Perhaps there is internal influence, corruption or a conflict of interest within the Council.... we will let you make your own conclusions on this. 

An FOI request revealed that a number of complaints had been made against the shop over the years and not one had affected their 5* rating or shop license to sell puppies, no further action was taken despite evidence and the premises has supposedly been "inspected every 6 months" - we have to wonder who was signing off these inspections when we have photographs of sick breeding dogs being kept in sawdust displays with urine and faeces (see pic), never mind the inaccurate vet checks from Ark House Vets, the numerous sick puppies, etc.

We are urging signees to keep the pressure on and email Redbridge Council to ask the below questions:

• Why has it taken years of complaints, and national press coverage, for Catwalk Pets to be formally investigated and their commercial license rating be reduced from 5 stars to 1 star?
• Have all previous complaints against Catwalk Pets been logged?
• Will the outcomes of the current and any previous investigations be shared? 
• Will the number of breeding dogs a license holder is permitted to keep be published on your Animal Activity Register? (FOI request)
• Will the owner of Catwalk Pets breeding license be reviewed as it is currently held until Dec 2022?
• Will you be holding a council meeting regarding Catwalk Pets and if so, the time and location be published? (So members of the public and press can attend)
