Dear All,
Please see below our oil commitment which is posted on our website:

Please be assured that Quick Service Restaurant Holdings understand the concerns that have been expressed about the environmental effects of palm oil use.

That is why, as a key part of our broader sustainability program, Red Rooster have progressively reduced the dependence on palm oil concentration used in restaurants from 100 per cent to 25 per cent in recent years. Quick Service Restaurant Holdings remain fully committed to completely eliminating palm oil use from all of Red Rooster restaurants, just as we have already implemented in all of our Oporto stores.

With more than 360 restaurants and 7,500 employees across the Red Rooster network in Australia, I am sure you can appreciate the logistics involved in implementing substantial changes to cooking procedures in all restaurants are extensive. However, I am pleased to advise that successful trials involving alternate cooking oils have now been completed and plans to roll-out 100% Canola cooking oil with no palm oil content across the Red Rooster network are being finalised.

Thanks again for your concerns. I look forward to providing another update in the near future.

Mark Bayliss
