Following a protest south of Albireh/ Ramallah in 2015, Israeli forces wildly attacked 13 old Palestinian child Ahmad Manasrah and broke his skull.

Settlers gathered around Ahmad whom was swimming in a pool of his blood and was in an awkward leg position. They harassed and insulted 13 years old Ahmad stating "Die you son of a whore...".

Ahmad survived, but was repeatedly physically and psychologically tortured in prison. Ahmad was deprived from sleep and was kept isolated from his co-peers and was not granted any visit until just recently.  There are videos of Ahmad being harassed in the first incident when he was attacked. Another video of Ahmad, leaked from interrogation, shows vulnerable Ahmad in a mental health crisis and appears  traumatised as the interrogator shouts and harasses Ahmad.

Today in 2022, 20 years old Ahmad is still not treated but secluded in a forensic mental health hospital. His mental health deteriorated further. This was against an independent mental health professional personal advice who was able to assess him after pressure from Ahmad's family and human right activists.

Ahmad's family stated that their son is illegally kept away from his home. Human activists know that there is currently 180 Palestinian child detained/prisoned and been maltreat. Ahmad's family explained that  Ahmad had been deliberately tortured so his mental health would deteriorate as it is now. But they they stressed that Ahmad is not alone in receiving such a systematic punishment which is mainly aimed to send a terrorising political message for the Palestinian population.

Maltreatment, hit and run, and murdering of Palestinian children is still very common. Just a year before attacking Ahmad, Israeli settlers kidnapped and murdered 16 year old Palestinian child Mohammed Abu Khdeir.
