300 and Counting Supporters

Hello everyone! We surpassed 300 supporters! WOOHOO! Let's celebrate! I am so overjoyed and proud of everyone who took a minute or two out of their day to sign this petition, it just shows how you can gather many people over a social issue. Now, I did send an email to the Superintendent of the Red Clay Consolidated School District. Although the response we got may not have been what we were hoping, that should not alter any of our plans or outlooks. As stated, by Superintendent Mervin Daughtery, "Schools are open on Thursday. We will be flexible with students absent from school." Respectfully I don't think that might be the best choice, but we are all entitled to our own opinions. In spite of the fact that school's aren't closed, I would really push towards going to the parade as it is a once-in-a-lifetime thing. As I am one who is going to the Eagles Parade, I would suggest that those do the same. Don't let school become a barrier!
