Rectify dangerous road dip at Rocky Point Rd & Hillview St, Sans Souci NSW 2219
The issue
Please join me in urging Georges River Council and relevant transport authorities to prioritize the repair of the corner of Rocky Point Road and Hillview Street, Sans Souci.
As a local resident, I have witnessed firsthand the unsafe dip in the road and the disruption it causes to the smooth flow of traffic. This hazard poses a significant risk to motorists, cyclists, and nearby residents. Vehicles frequently slow abruptly, scrape the bottom of their vehicles or swerve dangerously to avoid damage, creating a potentially dangerous environment on this busy road.
This road dip is more than just an inconvenience—it is a pressing safety issue. This corner is also on the same road as St George Christian School (Sans Souci Campus), where traffic naturally slows during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up periods. The combination of the dip and heavy school-related traffic significantly increases the risk of vehicle damage, sudden braking, and accidents.
Repairing this section of road will enhance safety, traffic flow, and the daily commute for local residents, school families, and all road users.
Join us in urging the council to take action to rectify this hazzard. Every signature counts.
