Friends - A group of ten representing Cal Court Sports met with RSF management today. We had excellent participation from student captains, coaches and players from the handball, racquetball and squash communities. They enlightened the RSF management to the disastrous consequences of the plan to eliminate one of three squash courts and two of five remaining handball/racquetball courts at RSF. To its credit, RSF management is going to rapidly reconsider the plans. They are going to look for a way to install the new cardio equipment WITHOUT replacing and eliminating the handball/racquetball/squash courts. Let's hope they come up with a good alternative. Exercise machines and mats are common. Handball/Racquetball/Squash courts are not! We expect to hear more tomorrow and will let you know.
