The Issue

Please check updates, AP CLASSES WILL NOT BE LIMITED!!!

As students of Bridgewater and Raritan NJ, we are deeply concerned about the proposed changes to our school system for the 2025 academic year. These changes may include removing online gym classes, limiting AP classes to five per year and restricting AP classes to one per subject. This will severely limit our educational choices and reduce schedule flexibility.

Many of us aspire to excel in advanced subjects like Advanced Mathematics Engineering and other classes. These classes will be restricted due to scheduling conflicts as a result of these potential policies. For those of us inclined towards STEM who wish to take AP Biology, AP Chemistry or AP Physics - all requiring an extra class period - these changes pose a significant hurdle. The removal of online gym means that we can no longer convert gym into a science lab period.

These policies not only affect our schedules but also limit our potential growth as students by reducing opportunities for advanced learning. We believe education should foster curiosity and exploration rather than impose limitations.

We urge the decision-makers in Bridgewater's education system to reconsider these proposed rule changes. Let us choose our own paths in education without unnecessary restrictions hindering our progress.

Please sign this petition if you believe in preserving student choice and flexibility within our education system.
