It has been brought to our attention that the DSBN has made the decision to revert the changes made to our graduation ceremony dates, putting it back to June 25th to June 28th. The DSBN has now reinstated our much-deserved late June graduations. Information about dates and venues are different for each school, so check your school email for updates! To the best of our knowledge, this means that culminatings and exams will happen BEFORE graduation, and we will receive our rightful medals, scholarship certificates, awards, and more.
We sincerely thank you for your support. We began as two senior girls from Eden High School, seeking answers to a change we saw as unfair and insulting to hardworking students, teachers, community members, and loved ones.
To those students who dreamed of crossing that stage, closing that chapter of their lives, we are so pleased to say you will now be able too. We know studentss have endured many sleepless nights and chaotic mornings in their high school career to achieve academic success, and make their family proud. We hope that by reverting the ceremony back to normal will make you feel proud of how much you have given, and be able to say "I did it." Especially after going through the pandemic, all of you deserve to feel proud of the people you have become today.
We thank the students, parents, educators, and community members who have helped make our vision a reality. To think that the two of us, with your help, have impacted schools throughout the Niagra Region. We want to express our gratitude again for everything. This has been an unforgettable experience for us, and we hope that we have inspired you to advocate for what you believe in.
Thank you; this is for the Class of 2024.
