Appel à la reconnaissance par l’ONU du statut de réfugiés pour les juifs expulsés de pays  arabes : une question de justice et d'équité.

Près d'un million de Juifs ont été contraints de quitter leur foyer dans divers pays arabo-musulmans au cours du 19e et du 20e siècle, alors qu’ils y vivaient depuis des temps très reculés et parfois même avant la colonisation arabo-musulmane : il ne s’agit ni plus ni moins que d’une épuration ethnique. Non seulement ils ont été violement expulsés, mais ils ont aussi été spoliés de leurs biens. Nombreux sont ceux qui se souviennent des fouilles humiliantes aux ports et aéroports, où leurs bijoux leur étaient arrachés, ou encore du gel de leurs avoirs dans les banques locales : “ la valise ou le cercueil”.

Un véritable génocide culturel a suivi cette épuration ethnique. Le judéo-arabe n'y est plus du tout parlé, les synagogues ont pratiquement disparu, de même que l'artisanat et l'art culinaire juif. Ne reste que quelques cimetières progressivement détruits.

Aujourd’hui, nous demandons la reconnaissance du statut de réfugiés auprès de l'Organisation des Nations Unies et une reconnaissance de responsabilité des États concernés. Nous réclamons également  la restitution des biens spoliés sous forme de compensation ainsi qu’une réparation pour les souffrances subies : nos revendications doivent être entendues sur la scène internationale.

Le statut de réfugié reconnu en Droit international et notamment par la Convention de Genève nous concerne aussi au premier chef.

Les Juifs expulsés de pays musulmans doivent bénéficier de ce statut. Nous ne demandons rien de plus que l'équité et la reconnaissance de notre Histoire.

Il est important de rappeler que l'Allemagne, après la Shoah, a entrepris un processus de reconnaissance et de réparation exemplaire. Ce geste, bien que symbolique, est un pas essentiel vers la justice. Les pays arabes concernés doivent suivre cet exemple et reconnaître leur responsabilité historique.

Le bien-fondé de cette revendication a été très largement documenté grâce au travail formidable accompli par plusieurs historiens qui se sont appuyés sur de nombreux témoignages, documents et archives.

Ce texte a pour but de rassembler le plus grand nombre de signatures possible, afin de faire entendre notre voix et de réclamer une justice trop longtemps différée. Nous appelons toutes les personnes de bonne volonté, toutes les organisations et tous les gouvernements à soutenir notre cause. Ensemble, nous pouvons faire avancer cette reconnaissance nécessaire et obtenir les réparations qui nous sont dues.

Call for UN recognition of refugee status for Jews expelled from Arab countries: a question of justice and equity.

Nearly a million Jews were forced to leave their homes in various Arab-Muslim countries during the 19th and 20th centuries, even though they had been living there since time immemorial, and in some cases even before Arab-Muslim colonization: this is no more and no less than ethnic cleansing. Not only were they violently expelled, but they were also robbed of their property, if not sold for a pittance at best. Many remember the humiliating searches at ports and airports, where their jewelry was snatched from them, or the freezing of their assets in local banks: “the suitcase or the coffin”.

This ethnic cleansing was followed by a veritable cultural genocide. Judeo-Arabic is no longer spoken, synagogues have practically disappeared, as have Jewish crafts and culinary arts. All that remains are a few gradually destroyed cemeteries.

Today, we are calling for recognition of refugee status by the United Nations, and an acknowledgement of responsibility by the states concerned. We are also calling for the restitution of looted property in the form of compensation, as well as reparation for the suffering suffered. Our demands are legitimate and justified, and must be heard on the international stage.

Refugee status, recognized under international law and in particular by the Geneva Convention, also concerns us first and foremost.

Why shouldn't Jews expelled from Muslim countries benefit from this status? We ask for nothing more than fairness and recognition of our history.

It's important to remember that, after the Holocaust, Germany undertook an exemplary process of recognition and reparation. This gesture, though symbolic, is an essential step towards justice. The Arab countries concerned must follow this example and acknowledge their historical responsibility.

Our claims are legitimate, and their validity has been amply documented by countless eyewitness accounts and by the outstanding work of a number of historians who have drawn on a wealth of documents and archives.

The aim of this text is to gather as many signatures as possible, in order to make our voice heard and demand justice that has been too long delayed. We call on all people of good will, all organizations and all governments to support our cause. Together, we can advance this necessary recognition and obtain the reparations we are owed.

קריאה להכרה מטעם האומות המאוחדות של מעמד הפליטים ליהודים שגורשו ממדינות ערב: זה שאלה של צדק ושוויון.

כמעט מיליון יהודים נאלצו לעזוב את בתיהם במדינות ערביות שונות במהלך המאה ה-19 וה-20, כאשר הם חיו בהן זמן רב ולעיתים אף לפני הקולוניזציה הערבית-מוסלמית: זהו אכן טיהור אתני. לא רק שגורשו בכוח, אלא גם נגזלו מהם הנכסים שלהם כאשר אלה לא נמכרו בסכומים סמליים למיטב המקרים. רבים זוכרים את החיפושים המשפילים בנמלים ושדות התעופה, בהם התכשיטים שלהם  נחטפו, הקפאת נכסים שלהם בבנקים מקומיים: "המזוודה או הקבר"

לטיהור האתני הזה הוביל גם רצח עם תרבותי. הדיאלקט הערבית היהודית כבר לא נמצא בשימוש, בתי כנסת כמעט נעלמו, כמו גם המלאכות והאמנות היהודית. נותרו רק מספר קטן של בתי קברות שנהרסים באופן הדרגתי.

היום, אנו דורשים הכרה במעמד הפליטים מהאומות המאוחדות והכרה באחריותם של המדינות המעורבות. אנו דורשים גם החזרת הנכסים שנגזלו בתמורה לפיצוי וגם פיצוי על הסבל שנגרם. דרישותינו הן לגיטימיות ומוצדקות וצריכות להישמע  על הבמת הקהילה הבינלאומית.

המעמד של הפליט מוכר במשפט הבינלאומי במיוחד על ידי חוזה ז'נבה. למה יהודים שגורשו ממדינות מוסלמיות לא יכולים להנות מהמעמד הזה? אנו לא מבקשים יותר מדי, רק צדק והכרה בהיסטוריה שלנו.

חשוב לזכור שגרמניה, לאחר השואה, התחילה תהליך מודעות ותיקון מרשים. מראה ההוקרה הזה, אף על פי שהוא סמלי, הוא צעד חיוני לצדק. המדינות הערביות המעורבות צריכות לעקוב אחרי הדוגמה הזו ולהכיר באחריותן ההיסטורית.

דרישותינו הן ראיות ומוצדקות על ידי עדויות בלתי סופיות ועל ידי עבודה נפלאה שנעשתה על ידי מספר רב של היסטוריונים שהתבססו על מסמכים רבים וארכיונים.

המטרה של הטקסט הזה היא לאסוף כמה שיותר חתימות, על מנת להעלות את קולנו ולדרוש צדק שנדחה לאורך זמן רב מדי. אנו קוראים לכל האנשים שיש להם רצון טוב, לכל הארגונים ולכל הממשלות לתמוך במאבק שלנו. יחד, אנו יכולים לקדם את ההכרה הזו הדרושה ולקבל את הפיצויים המגיעים לנו

مرصد اللاجئين اليهود في الدول العربية (OJRPA)

دعوة لاعتراف الأمم المتحدة بمكانة لاجئ لليهود المطرودين من الدول العربية: مسألة عدالة وإنصاف.

أُجبر ما يقارب المليون يهودي على مغادرة ديارهم في مختلف البلدان العربية الإسلامية خلال القرنين التاسع عشر والعشرين، رغم أنهم كانوا يعيشون هناك منذ زمن بعيد، وأحيانًا حتى قبل الاستعمار العربي الإسلامي: هذا ليس أكثر ولا أقل من تطهير عرقي. لم يتم طردهم بعنف فحسب، بل تم سلبهم ممتلكاتهم، إن لم يتم بيعها مقابل مبلغ زهيد في أحسن الأحوال. سيتذكر الكثيرون منهم عمليات التفتيش المهينة في الموانئ والمطارات، حيث تم انتزاع مجوهراتهم منهم، أو تجميد أصولهم في البنوك المحلية: ”الحقيبة أو التابوت“.

أعقب هذا التطهير العرقي إبادة ثقافية حقيقية. لم تعد اللغة العربية اليهودية تُتحدث، واختفت المعابد اليهودية عمليًا، وكذلك الحرف اليهودية وفنون الطهي. كل ما تبقى هو عدد قليل من المقابر التي يتم تدميرها تدريجيًا.

واليوم، نحن ندعو إلى الاعتراف بوضع اللاجئين من قبل الأمم المتحدة ومحاسبة الدول المعنية. كما ندعو أيضاً إلى إعادة الممتلكات المنهوبة في شكل تعويضات، فضلاً عن التعويض عن المعاناة التي عانيناها. مطالبنا مشروعة ومبررة، ويجب أن تُسمع على الساحة الدولية.

كما أن وضع اللاجئين، كما هو معترف به بموجب القانون الدولي ولا سيما اتفاقية جنيف، يعنينا أولاً وقبل كل شيء.

لماذا لا يستفيد اليهود المطرودون من الدول الإسلامية من هذه المكانة؟ نحن لا نطالب بأكثر من الإنصاف والاعتراف بتاريخنا.

من المهم أن نتذكر أن ألمانيا، بعد المحرقة، قامت بعملية نموذجية للاعتراف والتعويض. هذه اللفتة، على الرغم من رمزيتها، هي خطوة أساسية نحو العدالة. ويجب على الدول العربية المعنية أن تحذو حذوها وتعترف بمسؤوليتها التاريخية.

إن مطالبنا مشروعة، وقد تم توثيق صحتها بشكل وافٍ من خلال عدد لا يحصى من روايات شهود العيان والعمل المتميز لعدد من المؤرخين الذين استندوا إلى ثروة من الوثائق والمحفوظات.

والهدف من هذا النص هو جمع أكبر عدد ممكن من التوقيعات من أجل إسماع صوتنا والمطالبة بالعدالة التي تم تأجيلها لفترة طويلة جدًا. ندعو جميع الأشخاص ذوي النوايا الحسنة وجميع المنظمات وجميع الحكومات إلى دعم قضيتنا. معًا، يمكننا أن ندفع معًا هذا الاعتراف الضروري ونحصل على التعويضات المستحقة لنا.
