I would like to inform participants and any new supporters that my passion for this petition is rooted in my personal experience.

I believe reform is an essential step forward. This is not only about what has happened, but what is continuing to happen, and how change has not yet fully occurred.

My experience includes being American-born for generations, yet being placed in an environment where I was expected to adapt to a different language and culture, and then misidentified in ways that did not reflect my identity. This behavior is reflected within external environments as well. 

My active case, supported by documented statutes and evidence, will be used to support this petition by demonstrating the importance of education, caregiver preparedness, and system understanding.

It reflects how a lack of these elements can lead to the conditions and outcomes many are experiencing.

This is not about sympathy. It is about awareness, accountability, and the need for change.
