Recognition for Jonathan Davies and Kevin Sinfield in the New Year’s Honours List

Recognition for Jonathan Davies and Kevin Sinfield in the New Year’s Honours List
The Issue
As a fervent sports supporter, I've seen the tireless efforts and outstanding achievements of Jonathan Davies and Kevin Sinfield, both within Rugby League and beyond. These two gentlemen have exemplified not only sporting prowess, but also dedication to philanthropic causes that have had widespread impacts.
Their devotion to Rugby (both League and Union), is evident, however, the contributions Davies and Sinfield have made go beyond being extraordinary sports figures. They have a shared passion for community work that has seen them put their heart and soul into various charity works. Their ongoing commitment to giving back to society is both inspiring and humbling, and it deserves recognition on the national stage.
According to statistics, only 1 rugby league player has ever been knighted so far (Sir Clive Sullivan); This is a sobering statistic when held up against the many players who have continually contributed positively to their communities and sports. Davies and Sinfield stand out among these as deserving of such honour. Their impact on the sport and their ongoing commitment to fostering positive societal change is indisputable.
Through this petition, we request that the government reviews the New Year's Honours list, considering Jonathan Davies and Kevin Sinfield for their substantial contributions to sport and society. Recognising them will not only validate their efforts but will also inspire others to strive for excellence, not just in the realm of sports but also in charitable endeavours.
Sign this petition to contribute to acknowledging these sporting heroes and the significance of their humanitarian work. Let us push for their unforgotten efforts to be celebrated and appreciated on the grand stage they so rightly deserve.
