Petition to be presented to the Senate!

Hello lovelies,

I have some wonderful news! Senator Stephen Bates, the federal member for Brisbane (and national LGBTQIA+ spokesperson for the Australian Greens), has graciously agreed to present the petition to the Senate in May this year.

This change-org petition will be mentioned, but can't be legally considered. The concurrent petition currently accepting signatures for consideration by the House of Representatives however can be accepted, so if you haven't already, I highly encourage you to sign this as well. The more signatures, the stronger the message it sends to parliament that this is an important issue which needs to be considered.

Please navigate to https://www.aph.gov.au/e-petitions/petition/EN4848 and sign the petition today. It is accepting signatures until the 5th April, and only takes two minutes to complete.
